Program Launch Buyer
Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry, recognized for innovation, technical excellence, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to customers worldwide. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a Program Buyer - New Product Launch to take ownership of procurement activities for new product launches. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborate with global teams, and have a direct impact on project profitability.
Responsibilities

Manage the complete purchasing process for new projects – from RFQ stage to SOP.

Identify, approve, and develop new suppliers in line with global guidelines and project plans.

Negotiate terms, analyze cost structures, and ensure best value sourcing.

Collaborate closely with Design Engineering, Application Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Global Procurement teams.

Ensure purchasing activities meet project KPIs, particularly regarding operational profit targets.

Oversee procurement of a wide range of materials and components, including:Aluminium,
Steel and machined cast iron parts and Electronics
Requirements

Proven experience working with international suppliers (foreign trade) and solid knowledge of global supply chains (Asia, USA, India, Europe).

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (cost analysis, price breakdown, data processing).

Strong business English – fluent in verbal and written communication.

Stress resilience, quick decision-making, proactive approach, and strong analytical skills.

Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 5%).

Automotive industry experience (especially in “launch” purchasing projects).

Strong negotiation skills and ability to interpret cost structures.

Business maturity, and strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
