📄 B2B Contract: 180 - 230 PLN / hour
We are looking for a proactive Defect Manager to join an international programme supporting the transition of a major banking business to a new technology platform. The initiative includes application re-installation within the new environment, data migration, and a comprehensive testing phase covering migration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
This role sits within the Test Management function and will play a key part in coordinating defect resolution across multiple teams, driving prioritization, and ensuring smooth delivery in a complex banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate defect resolution activities across teams and ensure SLA adherence.
- Refine defect understanding, including criticality, urgency, and resolution path.
- Lead and facilitate defect meetings and track corrective actions.
- Organize defect correction work using burndown charts, workarounds, and prioritization based on severity and business impact.
- Work closely with Test Managers, business teams, and technical stakeholders to remove blockers.
- Promote best practices in defect management and support a strong banking functional culture.
- Challenge delays, escalation points, and defect prioritization where needed.
- Support effective communication across distributed, multicultural teams.
Requirements:
- Experience in Test Management or a similar role within a structured project environment.
- Solid understanding of defect management processes and testing methodology.
- Familiarity with SDLC and project methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, including dashboards, filters, and test/defect tracking.
- Cross-domain consulting or business analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of banking functional areas.
- Ability to understand architecture, environments, and data models.
- Experience in investment banking or large programme environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, ownership, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- English proficiency enabling work in international teams.
Nice to Have:
- Test management certification.
- Experience working in large-scale migration or transformation programmes.
- Background in defect governance, reporting, and escalation management.
- Familiarity with UAT and migration testing phases.
